Life
Enjoy every day!It is better to give and love than take and hate!Bought my Parents home, love the out doors,sharing meals and having good conversation with people from all walks in life. I love my work and my family. Divorced(happily so) and remarried to someone that makes me laugh and shares many interests and can converse for hours with out boredom.My kids are wonderful people.I am enjoying them as young adults. Lets hit Starbucks.......
We sold the San Jose home and now live in North Idaho! We adopted 2 kids and now have 4 grandchildren. I retired in 2016 from Santa Clara Valkey Medical Center. Find me on face book as: Catherine Nelson-McDonald.
School
I went to elementry school in the San Fernando Valley. I am a true Valley Girl! Lassen elementry and then Gledhill.I had spent a couple of semesters at a school in San Francisco. The summer after 6th grade we moved to Daly City for 7th grade(can not recall the school).In 8th grade, I attended Piedmont Middle and then on to Piedmont. Highs...Expand for more
chool was for the most part fun. I enjoyed being active in the school events.
College
Wow, where to begin. I went to San Jose City college and obtained an A.A. degree in liberal arts and an A.S. in Nursing at Evergreen. I transferred to San Jose State an am completing my B.S.N. It is my intention to continue on for my Masters. I went back to school after my kids started school and am now in college with them. Can you imagine paying for 3 college tuitions at once? It is a bit crazy at times but so worth it.
Workplace
Have worked for 13 years at VMC,specialized in critical care,emergency/urgent care and Oncology. Most recently have become a nurse examiner for forensics. I have had the opportunity of meeting people of all ages from every part of the world. My job has allowed me to use the highest forms of technology and the oldest forms of healing (prayer) all in the same setting. My children have been able to come to the work site and get hands on volunteer experience.Nursing has enriched my life.
