We tend to think of the word circumstance as being synonymous with words like coincidence or accidental: Something beyond our control. Yet through wisdom we come to understand the circumstance are the results of who we are; the very products of our everyday decisions. In fact a man's life is simply the sum total of all the decisions he has or has not made. And remember no decision is stil a decision. A circumstance doesn't just happen it is a condition or fact that arises from the thoughts and actions we make in life. Thought determines character, good or bad. While character determines action good or bad, and action determines circumstance good or bad. Therefore whenever you encounter an undesired circumstance -don't look outward, look inward. You will find that you are not the victim of chance, but the master of your reality. The bilble says "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he" The heart attracts that which it secretly harbors; that which it loves; and that which it fears Men do not attract that which they want; but that which they are. not what he wished and prayed for does a man get, but what he justly earns. His wishes and prayers are only gratified and answered when they harmonize with his thoughts and actions. Suffering is sometimes the effect of wrong thought in some direction. It is an indication that the indivdual is out of harmony with himself. Sometimes the sole purpose of suffering is to purify, to burn out all that is useless and impure.The circumstance that someone encounters with suffering are the result of their own mental and spritual harmony. People think that thought can be kept secret but it cannot. it rapidly crystallizes into habit, and habit solidifies into circumstance. Thoughts of self pity and low self esteem cystallize into habits of drunkenness and doing whatever feels good. which solidify into circumstance of disease and misery. Sinful thoughts of every kind crystallize into immoral and confusing habits, which solidfy into distracting and adverse circumstances.Thoughts of fear and doubt cystallize into weak, unmanly,and indecisive habits, which solidify into circumstance of failure, poverty and inability to think for one's self. Lazy thoughts cystallize into weak habits of irresponsibility, unpredictability and deceitfulness, which solidify into circumstance of incompletion,instability and need. Hateful and judgemental thoughts cystallize into habits of accusation and violence, which solidify into circumstance of injury and persecution. Selfish thoughts of all kinds crystallize into habits of jealousy, and self-seeking, which solidify into circumstance of disappointment and loneliness. It is pleasing to the mind to believe that one suffers because of chance or because of others, but he who understands that his suffering is the result of his own thinking and doing ceases to complain and kick against his circumstances and begins to use them as his teachers to help him fine tune his decision making process. Though a man cannot directly choose his circumstance, he can choose his thoughts and actions, and by doing so he indirectly shapes his circumstances. You are exactly where you are because you've chosen to be there.
