Nicholas's Story
OK, so I was a nerd in school, and not much has changed. I attended PCC after Muir and enrolled in a Laser science program. While in my second year, I was hired at USC Medical School to run the lasers during surgery at USC Medical Center and Childrens Hospital of LA. While working for USC, I attended school there, and other places, to pursue a degree in laser physics. Laser applications in medicine took me to Santa Barbara in 1987 where I headed a laser surgery and research institute for 5 years. I switched to the pharma/biotech research industry and been there for 15 years, and currently am a director in research and development at a large Biotech company in Thousand Oaks. Thou Oaks areas. I married a wonderfully tolerant-of-nerds woman, Marcy Taylor Razum, and we have a wonderful son that was born in 2000. Marcy is an actor, and before leaving the industry to raise our son, was a regular in several TV sit-coms. As an avocation for the last 25+ years, I have trained and handled dogs for search and rescue and other detection applications, and am a reserve with LA Co Sheriffs Dept. My wife handles dogs also, and we currently have 3 German Shepherds helping us raise our son. God is good, we are very blessed.
