Nick's Story

Life I am attending college late in life, wish I had finished this much earlier...But, school is just like a job. I am always thinking of what I will do, when I get done? I would always encourage others to try out college and don't quit! In other words, finish what you start, no matter what...that is my personal credo. Overall, I would also reflect on my times at T-Bird HS in 1979, I wish I had more friends to vist with, but actually, I finished my 8th grade at Mtn. View, Elem, and most of the kids I went to grade school with all attended Sunnyslope....But at T-Bird I remember my favorite teacher, Mrs. Kathy MacMorran, the GREATEST ART TEACHER on this planet! Also, I think of Mr. Fernandez, A great role model and just an all-around solid teacher for P.E. Also , I remember the guys on the JV and Varsity Football team. I had a great time playing ball, and hopefully I can catch up with Crawford, Hines, Dumbrowski brothers, and Kirby Houben someday! That would be a blast and the drinks would be on me....anyways, if some of you have the time, write back and maybe we can catch up? other than that, I hope everyone is doing well, a...Expand for more
nd life is treating you well!! Later, Nick College I have been attending UNM -Gallup here in New Mexico since retirement from the Us Army. I wish I had done all of this before I joined the service. It is very difficult at times and trying to remember things is the hardest! If anyone out there is doing the same thing now, I think you know what I mean! To all those friends out there from T-Bird, 79 was the best! Military Military life was a true adventure! I wish I could find everyone who I had a chance to meet, that would be the best thing to enjoy! I did visit with Staver and Scardelli this past summer in Indianapolis. I would like to see SFC Lineberry, Chief Dalrymple, Sgt Burnett, SFC Dickerson, SFC Blackman, Chief Washburn, Amoroso, Lawrence, Hill, Mcdougall, and Averill....that would be unreal!!!!! I have nothing but the highest admiration for all those who have served and are currently serving!!Our troops in Iraq deserve the best, and their families also!!! I'd do it all over again, if I had to! Maybe someday, I will cross tracks and definitely catch up on old times! Old soldiers never die, they jus fade away!
