Nicki's Story
Nicki is from Storm Lake, Iowa. Nicki graduated from Storm Lake High School. Nicki worked at Storm Lake East School as a pre-school Special Ed IA. Moved to Begindergarten IA when East School became East Early Childhood Center. My last year of employment was in the 4 year old program in the Gingerbread building as a CDA. Health issues pushed for me to retire from the job I so enjoyed for 10 years.
In May 2013, I was diagnosed with ALS, better known as Lou Gerigs disease! I am learning to adjust to life with disabilities. Special Education IA. Because of my job I understand each step I go through and how important each step Is. I am trained in the needs of the patient and to help each student meets their goals and needs! I continue to face this disease head on and will fight to the bitter end. I do what I can, the best that I can, day after day! That's all I can do!
Music Nicki likes includes Oldies but Goodies, Some Country, Easy listening. Books Nicki likes include Tess Gerritsen, Kay Scarpetta Series by Patricia Cornwell, Joanne Fluke books. Movies Nicki likes include Selena Movie, National Lampoon's Animal House, Madame X. TV shows Nicki likes include HGTV, Food Network, 48 Hours and any and all CSI shows.
