Life
Nick's rules for living.
#1 Don't be a tourist in life. Get off the bus, take a look around, walk the sidewalks, experience the world. Any other way you might as well have ridden the "It's a small world" ride at Disneyland.
#2. Challenge yourself. The straight, and narrow path is also the path of least resistance. Falling on your face, and learning is better than sitting on your ass, and waiting for life to happen to you. #3 Question authority in all forms. Know the difference between law, morality, and justice. #4. True wealth is strength tempered into the body, and knowledge gained through study. SUV's, money, social status are temporary.
#5. Challenge others to challenge themselves, and their beliefs.
#6.The best advice given to me is not to give advice. Be a good listener. #7 There is no one right way to live. I dropped out of school in '89. I played drums in a band for a few months in California.

I went back to high school in California, and graduated in '91. I missed my own graduation to be at Navy bootcamp. After boot graduation I went through medic school, then I went to combat medic school in Camp Pendleton, Ca. I lost 80 pounds, and I am still getting better.I was a Doc with 3rd Battalion/1st Marines for 4 years. I bought my first guitar with my first Navy paycheck. Got to see the world, then I moved back to Texas after my 4 years in the Navy/Marine Corpse. From 95 to 01 I worked a lot, and played a lot more guitar. I now Bartend at The Green Parrot, work security, and will graduate this year (06) and I am going to Texas State University. My major is Exercise Sports Science, and I am currently in the Active Reserves with 1st battalion/ 23rd Marines. Paid a visit to Iraq 2004-2005. OOrah.
