Nigel's Story
Life
Moved to San Diego with my wife in August 2000, so she can work as an elementary school teacher. My son Christopher was born December 2001 in La Jolla and he's such a big boy! We had his Baptism, saw some family and got a little homesick. We then moved back to New York in August 2002 to be closer to family. My daughter Olivia was born May 2004 in Bay Shore and she's simply the greatest little girl! We never could get San Diego out of our minds, so we moved back in July 2004! Now were here to stay! Our son Jordan was born January 2007 and he's a clone of his brother! Now I'm in San Marcos and taking day by day.
School
I didn't really care for school. In the lower grades I was mostly bored and couldn't wait to get out. Maybe the "less than friendly" nuns had something to d...Expand for more
o with that (I had a few "You're not Catholic... why are you here?" moments). I didn't care much for high school either. Yep, another Catholic school. The 45 minute bus ride didn't help either. I did my work. I did my time. Moved on!
College
At first I tried my hand at engineering... and didn't like it and it liked me worse. I eventually took a computer class and the rest is history! I changed my major, switched schools, graduated Magna Cum Laude and got a programming job a week later.
Workplace
I worked for the government while in school. Made enough to put gas in the car (and that's where I met my wife). I then graduated and worked for a university on Long Island, some of the time telecommuting from San Diego. I now work for an electronics company, programming once again!
