Niina's Story

Life Hey there everyone! Wow it's been a long time since I have had the opportunity to reconnect to the people and the community in which I went to high shcool. It just seems so surreal. South Porcupine was quite a journey for me. It really seems like a lifetime ago. I am happily married to the most amazing man that God could have ever made - John. He is the dashing, wild man that I met in high shcool when I was just turning 17. We have been together since then and have now been married for over 19 years. I am so blessed. We have no children yet - God blessed us with children through family and friends and my job before cancer hit and is now in REMISSION - aka - GONE! We do have some hairy children, however. LOL Life is really GooD!!!!!!!! School I never really had a crush in school and if I did I would never reveal it here...gossip central hahahaha! I just hope that he is as happy as I am in my life. I really loved Mr. Cribbs for English and Mr. Osborne was pretty cool too. He used to cut me a lot of slack when I was absent and let me make up tests a lot. To all of you that...Expand for more
care, I was away a lot because I was caught up in so much going on in my personal life - healthwise - that I was physically unable to attend school in the end hardly at all. I did graduate, and for those of you that don't believe that, it's true. I didn't attend our grad in 1988, because that just happened to be my brother Ari's wedding day and I was in the wedding party as a bridesmaid. Now, how do you possibly go to a whole day event such as a wedding, and then attempt to go to a grad also? IMPOSSIBLE... College After highschool, I went to Northern College for a year (nursing) and then I went to Brock University. I managed credits that enabled me to get a great job working with Autistic children and children with learning and other disabilities. Workplace I was in a terrible accident in 1994, so I have only recently returned to work, only handling a few caseloads. Then after returning to work - cancer hit me - not once - but 4 times! I am a Survivor, and if I could make it through Highschool, I can do anything! The fact that I have FINN SISU doesn't hurt!!!!
