Nikki's Story

Life I'm one of those people who always wanted to take the road less traveled, but I made it despite all my failures, all my stumblings and all my falls. I believe I'm a stronger person and everything I've experienced is what has molded and shaped me into "Who I Am" today. Some people need to take the left in the fork in the road, instead of taking the right which would be the way to go, in order for them to come out seeing life for what it really is. I love life, I appreciate life, and all that comes with it, the good, the bad and the ugly. I just wish my Dad and Mom could see it that way. I love you both very much and always will. School My crush was on a boy named Kermit, who I saw every now and then at Teen Youth Retreats. All my friends, Mandy, Maria, and Erika all thought he was so cute. I heard later that my old graduate buddy, Erika had been dating him. hmmm, I wonder if they ever got married? Mrs. Hoy was the greatest teacher on this planet, I still remember her to this day. I remember her daughter Geramarie(I think that was her name, cause my little sister Angel used to call her Germ) had Lukemia? It was some form of cancer, and just how strong that family was. Mrs. Hoy molded me from a C student to an Honor Student. I have alot of happy memories of my years at that school. They were all wonderful and happy memories. We were like a tight family. I remember a boy named Mike Becker, who my friend Mandy and I had a big crush on. He used to have...Expand for more
seizures and the first time I saw him have one I was really scared. Mandy and I used to do the rollerskating thing on Christian night. We would meet Mike there and act like we could care less, but he had us hooked. Other great memories were our School Conventions. The first time I ever won first place for my art, was a thrilling sensation. We would compete against all these other Christian Schools and their were always alot of cute guys there. I remember when Maria, Mandy's older sister made the decision to attend the public High School, instead of finishing at St. Paul's Academy. Mandy, Maria, Judy(their mom) would sing at church on some Sundays. They had beautiful voices. I wonder if any career came about from any of their singing talents? The biggest memory I have, though was Graduation. We had the smallest Graduating class in history, maybe not from that school, but in the big world. Every time I tell friends that I graduated with a class of 2, they don't believe it. Erika and I decided to sing a duet, bad idea, cause I can't hold a note worth beans, but she held her own for both of us. We sang one of my favorite songs, to this day, Michael Smith's "Friends Forever". Thanks Erika for being a part of my life at one point. Sad memory, when Erika's family moved away. Her dad was the pastor of the church at that time, and I can't remember why, but they wound up moving. Even though, to me it was a lifetime ago, those memories still remain in my heart.
