Nikki's Story
Have all these years really passed? I was able to complete my high school requirements and graduate in January by going to summer school for three summers. I married shortly after and had a boy, then a girl, then another boy over the next five years. My children have long been grown and I have been unmarried since 1981. My boys each have a son and my daughter has a daughter. The boys are 23 & 15 and the girl is 13. I have a dog! She is 6&1/2 and her name is Mazee and she is spoiled and has no manners.
I worked at The Peoples Store over the years starting in high school and was managing and buying for the children's departments until 1984 when they closed. That was a great loss.
Life goes on and mine did too.
It is now 2014 and since my original profile was so general, I thought I would add some personal information in case anyone is interested. I am still single and have nothing going that will change that. I am living in Puyallup with my dog. My older son passed away in October, 2009 leaving his son who is now 28 with a son of his own born in November of 2013. He looks much like his grampa and his father. For some unknown reason all of the Ehnat boys have an amazing resemblance to each other. His death has had an effect on me that cannot be imagined by anyone that has not suffered the same experience. I miss him daily. My daughter is now a senior VP at Timberland Bank and her daughter is finishing up her high school and getting ready for the next step in her life. My other grandson joined the Army after graduating in 2011 and after finishing his technical training as a drone operator (I know there is another term for this field, but I can't ...Expand for more
remember it) he spent a year in Afghanistan. While there he was able to complete his requirements along with his credits issued by the Army and now two months before his 21st birthday he has his degree from the university in Louisiana where he is again stationed since his return home. We are proud of his accomplishments and he is so darn handsome!
Some of our classmates from Edison and Gray recently gathered for a surprise meeting with Buck Muir when he was up from California recently. He and his wife are retiring back here in the next year. It was so much fun and everyone had such a wonderful time that we are going to try to do this on a regular basis and get more of our old friends to attend. I am now trying to locate as many as possible. If you are one of us, please get in touch with me...... You can not imagine how much fun it is to look at all of your Edison class pictures and recall our adventures and browse the Gray annuals and laugh about our antics. Please join us!!!! I am a firm believer in the idea that these old friendships are just waiting to be awakened and nurtured. The memories can't get any better than these old ones. I had my email address in here but had to remove it,,,so please contact me on Facebook or here and I will give you a better way to connect. I am back to Nikki Bridges and have been for many years.
Just an extra note...........
I have been trying to find lots of people that went to Gray and Edison with me. There are some of us that have gotten together recently and had much more fun than we had expected!!! If you are one of us or want to get together.....contact me here or Facebook..........I am in Puyallup.
