My life began in 1969 when I heard the message that God loves me and I can have peace with God, and know for sure I'll go to heaven when I die -- by asking Jesus to come into my heart/life, forgive my sin, and be the Lord of my life. I did that -- and experienced a peace and hope like I never had before. But just praying this prayer is like planting a seed -- that seed has to be watered, weeded and fertilized. Nourishing that seed means going to a church that teaches the Bible, praying (which is simply talking to God), and reading/studying the Bible at home. I have found God to be faithful -- even when we are not. He is faithful to His promises. He is committed to His love for His children. This is not just something I have heard about or read -- this is something I have experienced. God is loving, patient and merciful -- again -- something I have experienced.
