I am a full time transwoman since 11/28/2012 and love the fact that I can just be me! Who am I? lol.. I am figuring that out! After living the typical life being who and what everyone else wanted me to be, I am looking to fully embrace the woman I have always been inside! I am a girly girl and love feminine things! I love makeup, nice clothes, and am aiming for GRS either the end of this year or the beginning of 2014. I have been on HRT since Oct 2010. I have lived through many of lifes experiences, including a 16+ year career in law enforcement with the County of Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. I left in 2004 after rooting out corruption within the union for Deputy Sheriff’s (ALADS) and started a new union, The Los Angeles Sheriff's Professional Association. After I left the Sheriff's Department in January 2004, I took over a business in the San Fernando Valley that specialized in repair of consumer electronics. I added computer repair and home theater design and obtained certifications with CEDIA, ISF and HAA for Home Theater Design, Video Calibration and Sound Calibration. I then moved to Eugene Oregon in 2006 and worked for Best Buy as their top level Geek Squad Double Agent for the Pacific Northwest. My specialty was Home Theater Design, install and ISF Video Calibration. In May of 2009 I left my previous life behind when I had my then spouse (Lorena) arrested for domestic violence as she beat me when I finally had enough and tried to leave the relationship. I forced prosecution against her and never saw her again. I never looked back and began intense research and self education into who I really was. In the summer of 2010 I finally accepted myself for who I am and came out to family and friends. I also notified Best Buy I was starting transition and started beard removal by electrolysis. I instantly developed a great love and respect for electrolysis and ...Expand for more
hoped to one day have the chance to become an electrologist. Meanwhile, I returned to Los Angeles in the fall of 2010 to assist my father through major heart surgery. My five day trip turned into a two month trip. I ended up losing my father through a slip and fall accident in December 2010. I had arranged for us to move to Colorado Springs and I had already relocated myself there as I had fallen in love with Tammy in Oct 2010. However, Best Buy was more than happy that I was unable to go back to my position in Oregon and refused to transfer me to Colorado. That was my first experience with job discrimination due to my transgender status. I also made a promise to myself that I would never again let that happen and that I would fight for my right to work! I then took a job with DIRECTV with their top level technical support team in Englewood(Denver), Colorado. I was hired as my previous male self and promoted within 6 months of working there. I researched their LGBT policies and status and was told erroneously that I would be supported as a transwoman. I notified DIRECTV of my transgender status in February 2012. Due to a confidential settlement, I can’t disclose details, but I fought for my right to work and tried to make them understand the importance of actually following their own policies. The day after reaching a settlement with DIRECTV, I began living MY life full time. I have not looked back since and would love to teach corporations how to deal with LGBT issues and transgender issues. I would also like to help other transgender individuals stand up for themselves and learn how to hold those businesses and corporations that don’t follow the law and many times their public policies accountable. I have two grown daughters (21 and 24) who disowned me for transitioning. Maybe some day they will have a change of heart and put aside their phobias and realize I am the same person I have always been, just hopefully better dressed! :) In March 2013, Tammy and I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in order to attend school to become electrologists. Turns out I am damn good at it and hope to be a valued asset to those who need my services, especially those in the transgender community. So, I look to meet new friends and turn online social friends into real life friends. I am a very genuine person and always willing to help others.".
