Nita South:  

Nita is from New Providence, New Jersey. She has lived in Rochester, NY, Livingston, NJ, Mission and Kansas City, Kansas, Gresham, Oregon and various military posts .She is married to John South. She has three biological children, three step children and seven grandchildren. Her schools include New Providence High School, Somerset Hospital School of Nursing (Nursing), Western Oregon University (Psychology) and many schools while serving in the Army Nurse Corps. My civilian nursing duties included hospital staff and charge nurse positions and county community health assignments. While in the military I worked both staff and charge positions, attended OR school and spent one year in Vietnam working in the EMT and OR. During my last few years in the Army Nurse Corps I had the opportunity to learn the role of Civil Affairs Officer and fill that role during Joint Readiness Training at Ft. Polk, Louisiana, serve as Chief Nurse for (Operation Motagua) MEDRETE in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala where we cared for over 4,000 Guatemalans following Hurricane Mitch, taught BCLS, (Combat Life Saver) and some Emergency Medical Technician courses such as CPR, AED, IV therapy and culminating as Assistant Chief Nurse and MOB Medical Liaison Officer for the Command ...Expand for more
