Life
Living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Basically a professional volunteer, wanna-be dilletante. Two girls, ages 14 and 9. Married to an Air Force Officer (no, I still can't believe it myself) Met him there at Rocketdyne, near Canoga. Thought we'd see the World....did Dayton, Ohio, then Sacramento, Cal and now Colorado Springs. Read in the paper about military downsizing? Well it worked when it came to removing bases from all those exotic, tropical places. I worked for many years in youth ministry, then goverment contract negotiating, but now I'm a stay-at-home Mom who never stays-at-home. I'm a Brownie Troop Leader, Classroom Read-Aloud Mom (all those Drama classes are really coming into play now!), Bunko Playing, Book Clubbing, Starbucks Addict. ...Expand for more
My time is my own and I'm loving it. My mom is still back at the old homestead in Canoga Park, so we, like the swallows, return at least once a year. Gotta do the Disneyland thing. My kids are always impressed that I have Disneyland memorized. My younger brother taught at Canoga for many years so I got to hear about the retirements of many of our instructors. (Mr Suarez is a radio call-in homework tutor, still local.) My oldest is now in High School, so memories pop up now on a regular basis. I've informed her that our year group INVENTED "cool", no lessons needed. Have you seen Wallabees being sold lately? Remember those gotta have shoes?
