Carol's Story
Wasn't very involved with WHS, but had some good friends at Wheaton High School - miss all of them. Keep in touch with a few. I enjoyed high school, just more from the sidelines.
I moved with my two boys and Doberman to Washington State in 1977. I found a job and a home I could afford. I've been married since 1978 and now have 3 sons who went to college, married amazing women, and are raising children of their own. All my boys live in the area so I've been very lucky. The seven grandchildren are beautiful, talented, and very active. We are awaiting the eighth grandchild due in January. I spend most of my time on some field/gym watching them play sports, at the YMCA trying to keep body and soul together or outside attempting to control my over-ambitious garden..

ski resort (cross country mainly now - snow boarders intimidate me) and about 30 minutes from a nice lake, 60 minutes from two breathtaking lakes. I love kayaking (better than the boat we share custody of with the bank). After my husband and family, dogs are my great love, especially Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds. I love aerobic dance, yoga and walking with the dog in the woods. We recently added two parakeets to the family (granddaughter pleaded for them) and they are surprisingly entertaining. I babysit grandchildren twice a week and try to be helpful to the older grandchildren. I plan to start volunteering at the animal shelter this fall.
I have been very blessed. I went back to Washington, DC from time to time for work - such a beautiful place and so many things to do growing up. Wheaton was a good starting point in life - I'm grateful.
