Norleen's Story

I retired from Alaska Airlines in 2008. Worked for San Juan Airlines 2012 to 2014 in beautiful, laid back, artistic Anacortes where live since 2011. Love "island time" atmosphere, arts, live music especially many outside often free venues, festivals like the Tulip Festival & Anacortes Art Fest. LaConner nearby. A-Town has some great restaurants including Gere-A-Deli & Anthony's. Parks, boat harbor, Old Town where I live. Enjoy the view of Guemes Channel & Island, scenic lookouts, nice weather & more. Had open heart surgery Aug. 2015, knee replacements in 2016 & 2018 to name a few of several surgeries. My son Todd & wife Kim have a son & 2 daughters. Feel very fortunate for my beloved family. They live in North Bend & Seattle. I now have 2 precious great granddaughters. Have had a few acting gigs -- TV ad extras so far for Microsoft/Russell Wilson, Seattle movie fest & local Indie film supporting role. I hope life is good for a...Expand for more
lums as it can be challenging healthwise & financially at our age. I have experience in both. Oh, I finally graduated from UW in 1983 in Communications & Political Science. Then worked in cable tv production. Followed by years of Community Relations, fundraising, event planner, & media for child abuse prevention and treatment programs. Plus activist for women and racial equality, progressive social & political issues and candidates. Was WA State NOW President and served on the boards of other equality & justice organizations in the 1980's and 1990's. Enjoy still seeing HS friends like Sharon Youse, Vicki Malone, Elaine Beck & Mike Blackstock. Co- Chaired our 50th Reunion in 2012. BTW have been single after two 10 year marriages. In past 14 years my companions have been loving adorable male fur babes. A Maltipoo & now a Shizpoo. Note: My Seahawks pic is from about 2013. Aging is not always kind. I am super thrilled that I finally got to see my newest great grandbaby Alea & her beautiful Mommy Kate & her loving Daddy -- my grandson Bryson -- yesterday after 5 1/2 months since Xmas. Love them soooo much.

Thanks to my genius son for repairing my broken fireplace heater. Now warming me up in very cold house after being away for few days. Was about 42 degrees when first got home. Yipee❗Heat in living room again.
