Life
MY PROFESSIONAL LIFE
Norma Lane is currently the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Fortinet technologies, a leader in Global security networking FortinetÂs corporate office is located in the bay area, and they have offices in 27 different countries.
Prior to Fortinet, Norma held various HR leadership roles in the health care and high-tech industry. With over 20 years in her profession, Norma's experience spans from overseeing multi-billion dollar operations in health care to working with the Securities Exchange Commission to take a company through their IPO and representing management in resolving labor union disputes. Additionally Norma has been active on various Corporate Boards. Norma is currently on the board for a new software company called AppMail, which is expected to go public next year. She is also on the Board of Directors for UC Santa Cruz to advise the Provost on academic design. Norma has been active in the Hispanic community for most of her career. BAs, and Society of HR Management (SHRM). Norma has served on the San Jose Chamber of Commerce Leadership Council and received the Latina Success Award from PMAA. Recently she received the Speaker of the Year award from the Women of Color Action Network, a national organization that serves to promote minority women in business.
Norma holds and Masters in Public Administration and a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from University of San Francisco.
MY PERSONAL LIFE
Happily Married, with a set of twins (21 years old) and my 35 year old. You'll remember me becoming a mom in my senior year of high school. Isaac has grown to be a successful, great son. He owns a restaurant and lounge in San Jose called Taste Ultra Lounge at San Pedro Square. It was recently selected by San Jose Mercury News as the Best Dance Club and outdoor patio in San Jose. Stop by and visit some evening.
My twins are attending local colleges and doing well. When I have free time my husband and I visit our place in Tahoe or go wine tasting and hiking. All is well for the most part. Where does the time go? 35 Year reunion?
