Norma's Story
After that phase of teaching riding lessons, training horses, and driving a school bus, I entered the next phase of getting married and raising 4 wonderful children, and teaching and training them. As I was going through that phase I entered the next one, beginning employment as a short bus driver and a teacher's aide.
That sent me on into the next phase, getting a formal education to become a teacher. I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up until I put my youngest daughter in college at Clemson, and I, at 41 years old, realized what I wanted to be. Fortunately for m...Expand for more
e, Anderson College opened up as a four year school right when I had finished my associates degreee and I was able to continue my education in Elementary Education and Journalism without having to transfer.
I have been writing for 3 newspapers, publishing our school newspaper, and I've been teaching as a second grade teacher 10 years. Now in one year I will be retiring with 31 years with my School District that nurtured my desire to write about the great things that happen at school and in the communities around us, and teach the wonderful little children that God sends my way.
