I did not follow the same path that most of my classmates did. Instead of getting married, I traveled extensively, lived in other countries and eventually came back to the U.S. and back to DC, my home since graduating. I do some editing and writing now, and I also design and make sweaters and have an alterations business, going back to what I wanted to be when I was in high school -- a home economics teacher teaching sewing. I think not; I remember the horrible names I had for my home economics teacher. As a final note, I believe in equality.
