Nova's Story
Life
Manages lawn fertilization company in Troy, MI for 13 years now. Began a mobile home spa service beginning 08'. After 1st year of college I moved to DC where I wedded my junior high school sweetheart. Marriages don't last forever. Anyway, from this union, came daughter, Ashley, and son, Pierson Alan. Being 44, ' I have just started to live my life. Never say never! Also, LOVE does conquer!
School
My biggest crush I would say was on my good friend Aaron Ward. We hung out together, went to each others houses and yet I never told him how I felt because I swore to never cross that line. He was like a brother to me. Whenever I was down, I could always talk to Aaron, he made sense of things that I felt I couldn't. After talking to him I could always see things from a different perspective without having my feelings hurt or feeling betrayed. I always respected his opinions. He was so fun to be around and quite an intellect and boy that sexy deep voice! My second big crush was on my boy, Mike Etters. I thought he was my soul-mate. He was so mature, yet complexed for his age.
College
The day I checked into my room at Ferris was a trip! I remember walking down the hall of Clark Hall dorm. ought nothing about it really, although being a black girl coming from an all black everything from the "D", that was enough to make me nervous. When I opened the door, there she was, a black girl laying on the top bunk reading her bible and a radio playing gospel music. Then on the wall was this huge, I mean huge picture of Jesus. Now, being that I didn't go to church at all, I knew we weren't going to be a match made in "heaven". Let's just say if cleanliness was next to Holiness, this sister should have been escorted on a red carpet to Hell! Turned out that she was so nasty and dirty that she moved out before the next quarter because I was a compulsive neat freak! I mopped the floors every other day, always vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting, cleaning, and rearranging our room. Everything on my side of the walk-in closet was neatly hung and color coordinated, while on her side, all her stuff was in piles in garbage bags. We were like the ODD COUPLE!
I always wanted to be a psychologist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were unconclusive.
To blow off steam I DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!
If I won $100 million, I'd give a portion of it to my old High School, then spend the rest on living, learning and loving.
