Obie's Story

Life Well ok i'm going to at least say alittle bit about myself now that im going on 42yoa, darn i guess all of US,ok most, are at that age. After Graduating high school i went to Pan American University in Edinburg and studied there for a year, it was a good university but i wanted to go to a bigger university. I transfered to Texas A&I University in Kingsville, now a Texas A&M University branch. There at A&I i studied my regular subjects, undergrad stuff. I did a few intermural sports like Football and Softball, nothing serious just for fun. Played racketball and did some bowling. From Texas A&I i tranfered , yet again, to The University of Texas at Arlington. At UTA i decided that i didnt want to become a Pharmacist that i hope to become. But instead i wanted to study, of all subjects, ENGLISH. Yes i was an English Major. The main reason that i decided on that major was that i noticed that i had a slight case of Dyslexia. I was always wondering why i had to study harder than my other classmates in high school and in college. I trained myself into a new form of studing and my grades started to get better i became more confident in myself. I lost most of my stuttering, most might not have had noticed, another reason why i didnt speak too too much during class discussions. And dont me going on the public speaking part--that was awful. Back to the college years--- I was doing pretty well, i joined a Service Fraterity, Alpha Phi Omega. It was a Coed fraternity so our mixers were fun. All was ...Expand for more
going good until i got the news that a aunt of mine that i was very close to had passed away then a couple of months later my uncle, husband of this one aunt passed away also. It was all during school time. I had broken down mentally, but i didnt let anyone one notice. My grades started to fall so i dropped out. Big mistake on my part. It took me several years to go back to college. I finally decided to go back at least to a Junior College and start to get my feet again. I studied to become a Pharmacy Technician and surprise i passed all my exams with flying colors. Now im doing extremly better mentally and phyically. I was living in the TCU, Texas Christian Univerity, area, here in Fort Worth NOT Dallas, but i got tired of living in a house so i bought myself a Condo. Yippe no yard work. I drive a Honda Silverwing motorcycle, its a smaller version of the Goldwing but it still has all the gizmos that the Goldwing has. Things like a radio, CB, Luggage racks and yes i wear all that leather gear. I also have a mini van, and a car. I have three dogs, a miniture Pinscher, a Terrier mix--pound puppy, and a Chihuahua. Im very Liberal minded-thanks to a Stepfather, who grew up in California during the Hippe 60's. Im a conformed Batchelor and GLAD about it. I have a son by a former girlfriend, she wanted a son and not a husband. I work two jobs, one at a Pharmacy and the other at a Hotel. Good fringe benifits at both. I'll write more and i'll add a picture or two very soon. Thanks for listening. Obie
