Life
I am lactose intolerant. I am quite allergic to cats, which is okay because my children love their pet hamsters.
Two of my three children (all girls, ages 22, 14, and 5) were conceived while I was using birth control. I guess it's good I didn't have a boyfriend in high school.
I have never read a romance novel. I loved the book "Youth in Revolt" by C. D. Payne; it's sort of a modern "Catcher in the Rye" and a fitting recommendation for this Web site.
A few years ago I got a master's degree from UCLA in Library and Information Studies (surprise!), but instead of becoming a librarian I became an information architect. I sent my children to private schools because I generally was not impressed with the education we received.
I hate the fact that my 12-year-old daughter watches those horrible 70's sitcoms on Nick at Night. I didn't like them when they were new, and I despise them now.
I married a man who is a clinical psychologist. I've never been in therapy myself. I would like to be, but I have no significant personal problems.
My favorite musicians are David Byrne, Paul Cebar, and Lyle Lovett. I almost never change the radio station if a Led Zeppelin song is playing.
I cut my hair short but I have never colored it. However, I do have my eyebrows tinted on a regular basis.
I have never used illicit drugs, because I really don't think I need to.
