Thomas's Story
Life
Well first I moved to Phoenix after 8th grade graduation with my family.
First went to Washington High School, lasted there a semester before I was expelled two days before I was transferring to a new school across town. Moved to Tempe, AZ where they were hick backwards, I had to go to a junior high. For the second semester of my freshman year I went to Powell Junior High (total ghetto school).
My sophomore year I started at Dobson High School. The only thing I learned my sophomore year was what a Baja was and how to roll a blunt. I did enroll in a program where I studied drafting at Mesa Vo-Tech. You spend half your day at high school and the other half at a vocational school, was kind of cool but tiring.
Junior year was a bit more exciting; the first semester had fun hung out with tons of friends. Second semester was a bit different, decided I didnt like anyone and bailed. Dropped of the face of the Earth, my parents didnt even know where I was.
After a long summer vacation (which started in January, I started my senior year. After missing almost a year of high school I was only short a quarters worth of credits to graduating on time. But after a run in with the high school Gestapo, I was expelled, yet again, and after my father had a run in with the Gestapo, I wasnt allowed in the public school system again.
Went to college far a few years but could never decide what it was I wanted to do, so eventually gave it up. My father pasted away in Sept of 1994.
Went is to the wonderful world of finance, which took me to Minnea...Expand for more
polis, MN in May of 2002 where I worked for American Express Financial Advisors. Which lead to the carpal tunnel I have in both hands. The extremely cold weather brought on a vascular decease. Beside I am tired of listening to people conplain about their money. There is less then 5% of the worlds population have any type of account that has over a million dollars in and to have listen to someone conplain because they we charged a $1.50 for using another banks ATM machine because they are too stupid to figure out what ATM they need to go to, and they are sitting there with a two million plus account balance. Done with that!
Faced with having to have both my hands operated on and one leg, I was kind of told if I took a medical leave I wouldnt have a job to return to. So I loaded up a truck and moved back to Phoenix, Minneapolis was not somewhere where I want to chance ending up jobless and homeless. So back in Phoenix in Sept of 2005, I worked on getting the surgeries taken care of. Have had one hand done I Aug 2006 and the other hand is scheduled for Oct 2006. The leg I am still working on.
With all this free time I have decide to go back to school. With a lot of my family in construction, and always having had a fascination with building and how they are put together, and an going back to school to become an architect. I will have my AA in Sept 2008. I am going strictly for CAD right now. I dont want to have to go back in to financing while I am going to school, so the plan is to go to work for an architect while I am going to school.
