We have lived in Wrightwood since 1988 and I have been teaching school since 1992. I've taught many grades but have settled into kindergarten for over 10 years. In the Spring of 2008 I finished my Master's Degree in Educational Arts. Vince was a firefighter/paramedic and got his degree in Chemistry in 1984. He became a chemist for Lockheed Martin in 1990. January 25, 2008 our town was devastated by the death of two local guys, because of an avalanche while they were skiing, my son was one of them. It's beyond belief for me as a mom.....My heart is forever broken, but because of his wonderful attitude about life, I can get up and get going every day. He was loved by so many (we figure around 1200 people attended his memorial service) for his fun and caring personality and love of life. In his 23 years he raced mtn. bikes since he was 14, played years of soccer, graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Psychology where he was president of the mtn. bike team. He was an EMT and ski patroller for 8 years, both in Flagstaff and Wrightwood. He became Ski Patrol Dircector at Mtn High in 2006 and did that for a year before deciding to go to grad school. He lived in Pacific Beach, Wrightwood and while attending grad school for school psychology, he became an ocean lifeguard. We miss him every moment of eve...Expand for more
