Oliver Thompson:  

Life After graduating from High School and completing one year at Sinclair Community College I joined the United States Navy. In retrospect, joining the Navy was the best thing I could have ever done. My question of "what is life like outside of Centerville?" was answered. Stationed in Yokosuka, Japan I traveled to places like Hawaii, South Korea, Okinawa, Guam, Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. It was awesome! I was seeing the world and getting paid to do it. At the end of my enlistment I continued my education at the University Of Cincinnati College of Applied Sciences. I joined the Flying club, College Republicans, Wrestling club, Student Government, and the Triangle Fraternity. Despite having traveled to so many places I was not settled. I wanted to see more. So, before graduating, I reenlisted in the United States Navy. This time I was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. I traveled to Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Africa, and The Middle East. Upon completion of my second enlistment, I joined the Air National Guard and went back to school. Today, I am at The Ohio State University majoring in Electrical Engineering/Economics and thinking about a minor in either French or Chinese. I am involved with Student Government (government relations committee), Rugby, and the Air National Guard. Calculus and Physics are killing me but I could not be happier. Go Buckeyes!
