Olivia's Story
Life
At 57 years of age, I have had a good life, in gereral. I married at the ripe old age of 20. My first born, Shannan, is now 36! My youngest daughter, Sarah, is 27! They are both beautiful gifts from God. I was married for 28 years. My x-husband and I are friends and talk often. I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom all those years. Now, I am working outside my home. I work for KCBI Radio 90.9 FM, one of the top Christian Radio Stations in the DFW metroplex. I love my job. I have met many well known personalities.
I have missed many of my classmates and wonder how they've been and what they're doing. Our 40th reunion is coming up. I hope to see many of my old friends there. Some of my best friends are graduates of other classes.
I still stay in touch with a few people from my class.
I would love to hear from you.

School
When I attended Monterey, my favorite class was choir. I was honored to have been in the Cantores. I was in the Madrigal Singers and in a trio called the Caravan Singers, with Ann Miller and Russ Kirkpatrick. Remember? We used to sing all those Peter, Paul & Mary so...Expand for more
ngs, without knowing what the lyrics were all about! :) The Madrigal Singers had the honor of singing at our 1964 graduation. I made all region choir and tried out for all state. I made first runner-up to all state! (so close, yet so far away.)
I am still in touch with several of friends from high school and college.
I think if I had to tell of any regrets, it would be that I let the young man I dated, get away. We went our separate ways, but there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of him, still. We really can fall in love at an early age!
I'm proud to be a grad of Monterey/Lubbock. I will cherish fun memories from those days.

College
I attended Texas Tech University, but did not graduate. I majored in Music (voice).
Workplace
For 28 years, I worked at the most difficult job in the world. . . a homemaker! I loved every minute of it. Then, I was forced out into the real world of bringing in a paycheck! I worked for a doctor for 3 years and I am now employed for one of the best in the nation Christian Radio stations. It is Criswell Communications/KCBI 90.9 FM in the DFW metroplex.
