Ron's Story
Happily married, living on the water in Southern Maryland, and working part time in Rancho Mirage, CA
Some people don't even have one good marriage; I've been luckiy enough to have four!
51 years all together: 2 11's, a 21, and an 8
Lost my first wife to my "best friend," 2nd to Lou Gehrig's disease, 3rd to Colon Cancer, and my wife Connie is a Breast Cancer survivor.
One would think getting involved with me could be hazardous to your health!!
3 Children, 6 Stepchildren, 14 Grandchildren (including steps) and 3 Great Grandchildren. (Thank goodness we're not having a family reunion!!)
After High School, I went to the Air Force Academy and had a 25 year career in the Air Force and retired out of Edwards Air Force Base where I was doing operational testing of rotary wing aircraft. Retired after being selected for Colonel.
Spent the next nearly 25 years working for a national crime prevention company developing security programs for hospitals, banks, and large corporations. Retired as the President of the Defense & Aerospace Division.
Started my third 25-year career as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Titan Aerospace, a designer and builder of Atmospheric Satellites. Needed to get started before I "ran out of runway". Fortunately, and unfortunately, Google bought the company and had absolutely...Expand for more
no requirement for a sales and marketing person.
So, now...I'm President and CEO of IKNAE Independent Consulting, LLC. The acronym stands for "I Know Nothing About Everything..."
I've been retained by my wife Connie, bought a motorhome and are traveling to various locations between our homes in Maryland and Arizona.
I refuse to say the "R" word for now, we're having a great time spending time together, we're both in pretty good health, so we may end up the happy wanderers...
UPDATE:
"Widow maker" heart attack at an RV park in the middle of Texas 1/25/2o. Happily Connie had enough aggression from all my lousy jokes to break six of my ribs giving me CPR until a patrol vehicle in the area with an AED got me breathing so I could be transported to the finest heart hospital in North Texas. They split me open like a chicken and administered a triple bypass and I was home by the 13th of February. Beat COVID travel restrictions and home for Valentine's day!!! And... Connie says I'm just as obnoxious as before the heart attack and if I try it again she's leaving me lying there for "worm food". The really bad news: Even if I get a tattoo that looks like a zipper with a daisy at the top my application for the "Chippendales" has been rejected!!
That's the "Reader's Digest" version. In a phrase: It's a great life.
