Oren's Story
Life
I was known as Oren to many of my classmates and Bill to many who knew me well. My voice was the most notable thing about me at that time. I was a member of the the second edition of the Manual Four, along with Gene Bryant, Bob Pruitt and Laurie Larsen. I am the only surviving member of this group and intend to remain that way for many more years. essor that Miss Eliz. Mottern had when she was a student at USC. That professor, Lillian Backstrand Wilson, was the wife of our Principal, Dr. Albert E. Wilson. Miss Mottern was the teacher of Voice and choral music at Manual for many years. I actually was a Pre-Med major until WW2 started , then the story changes! More later if you are interested!
