I was in Iceland as a US Navy military overseas brat from 1963-1965. I attended Mahan elementary and Junior H.S. school there from 5th to 8th grade. I played in the junior bowling and little league baseball. Left Iceland in the summer of 1965 and started my high school at Encinal HS in Alameda, Calif. (class of 1969) where I was active in sports playing football and track and field. Lived in Alameda until 1970 before I got drafted in the army. I have 3 kids, all boys(ages 24,32,34). Been happily married for 35yrs. I was a army military draftee in the army and later signed up for the Air Force. My army training was in Fort Ord, Calif.;I was stationed in Texas, 'Nam, Germany,Hawaii, Calif, and Florida during my military career. Wished I was smart enough to retire in the military and receive a pension but at that time I thought I was smart enough to be an engineer.
