Life
Graduated from USC (FIGHT ON TROJANS!!) magna cum laude in 1997, B.A. in international relations. Served 7 years in the U.S. Air Force Security Forces (HOOAH!) and am now a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer serving at the seaport in Long Beach, CA! Also started my own Internet business two years ago.
School
Zoo Magnet alumnus. Served as President of Zoo Crew (ZMC student government) my final semester. Mr. Mike Gallagher, my social studeis teacher, was my most influential instructor. Definitely didn't have the dating or party life I do now, but I still had fun for the most part.
College
FIGHT ON, TROJANS! Four of the best years of my life. Developed myself intellectually, physically, and socially. Did an internship for my congressman's district office in the summer of '95 and at the Heritage Foundation (a conservative public policy thinktank)in the spring of '96.
Single fondest memory was the last USC football game as a student on Thanksgiving weekend of '96, when we beat Notre Dame for the first time since '82 and I got to storm the field of the L.A. Coliseum.
Workplace
Until I joined the Air Force, bounced around several sales and real estate jobs, including the corporate HQ of Public Storage (became their #2 salesman after only 3 months) and the regional HQ of RE/MAX of CA & HI. All those jobs, military and civilian alike, were great, however, none of the civilian jobs have given me the reward and sense of accompishment that Customs and Border Protection has!
12 Apr 05 Update: I also started my own business.
March 2007 update: Separated from the active-duty Air Force after 7 years of honorable service and joined the Department of Homeland Security as a Customs and Border Protection Officer.
