Othello's Story

At Las Vegas High I was quite involved in the music programs. After graduating I went on to receive a BA in music performance. I coached musicians in Korea and Taiwan for the Rockefeller Foundation and then played oboe professionally for 16 years. I have retired now but have also been involved in education for immigrant and refugee school children. I did some graduate school studies in Special Education and Asian Studies but have yet to get an advanced degree. Because of philosophical differences my wife and I divorced after many years of marriage. Together we have one grown daughter. an alternative means of transportation. To relax and get in touch with my inner self, I can often be found in meditation groups around the Salt Lake City area. Once I remember loading a bunch of us with water balloons into a station wagon and heading downtown to find any cars flying Rancho High colors. Impatient at not having success locating our prey, we decided to lob our balloons at a car directly behind us. It turned out to be an unmarked police car. We wound up being pulled over and frisked. Worst of all, the officers confiscated all our balloons, but we learned our lesson and they made certain we arrived at our homes before curfew.
