Life
I spent three years in the army during the Vietnam war. After the service I was hired by the Phoenix Police Dept.After 2 and a half years at Phx.PD, I was hired as a narcotics agent for the State of Arizona where I worked for 28 and a half years. I was twice named state officer of the year and was awarded the states highest award for pulling a woman out of a car that was overturned and fully engulfed in flames. My old narcotics partner became the tour manager for Aerosmith and as a result I began traveling with Aerosmith as security in an off duty capacity.From my experiences with Aerosmith, I became known in the industry and was soon working with other bands such as Bon Jovi,AC/DC, Guns N Roses, and just about every other band that has been popular in the last 25 years. ten years. As a result of my off duty security work, I managed to see all 50 states and most of Europe.During my stint with Garth and just prior to his retirement I also was involved in the merchadising of Garth's tour merchandise.Thus when I retired from the State of Arizona in 1997, I was offered the position as merchandise manager at what is now Cricket Pavilion. Cricket Pavilion is a 20,000 seat outdoor venue on the west side of Phoenix. I own my own merchandising company and will forever be grateful to Garth for giving me a start in the concert merchandise business. I have been married to a saint named Linda for 39 years. I have three children, Scott 38, Marcie 36, and Justin 34. My two boys and daughter have blessed us with 8 grandchildren. Linda and I travel quite a lot, visiting Hawaii, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta thanks to timeshares that we own there.
