PAMELA's Story
I am from Phoenix, Arizona. Schools I attended include Carl Hayden High School, Arizona State University, and I graduated from University of Phoenix.
Two of my favorite quotes are: Manners will take you places money can't buy, and
Life is mysterious, don't take it so serious, because nobody gets out alive.
I have been married to Big George for just over 50 years now (was I a child bride or what?) We raised two wonderful sons, and now we are trying to keep up with our 14 year old grandson. By the way our first born came 5 years, 1 month and 18 days after the wedding - requiring 2 surgeries for those of you who thought for sure I was pregnant when I got married at 17).
I worked in Procurement & Contracts from Alaska to Pennsylvania, usually following George in his Quality Assurance career. Having work in private industry and the Government sector. I've worked with products from putting rockets into space, to making pharmaceuticals. My service ranged from educating scientist, maintaining and shutting down military bases, working toxic waste remediation at Su...Expand for more
per Fund sites, and helping the Government provide medical care for our military. If there was a crap job out there I would take it just for the experience.
I am known for taking the road less traveled and seeing America unintentionally. Not to mention in my travels I have managed to get us lost in some of the worst parts of any city we have visited. (I know it's a gift - but the stories are great) I have worked hard, played hard, and continue to expand my love of life to the max (I am a child of the 60's), I'm blessed with many friends around the world and thankfull for every day I'm on this side of the flowers.
Interest include all forms of sewing, crafts and mixed media artforms. I've taught classes on a multitude of subjects having to do with my career in procurement, new technology upgrades (I was a early computer geek) and my current love of textile art
I retired in 2012 and started thinking about my bucket list. I came to the conclusion I've had such a good life, I would not change a thing and I don't really think I have anything I need on a bucket list.
