Pablo's Story
Life
Right after high school I joined the Marine Corps. I was station in North Carlina for a few months as a Private. I then got sent to 29 Palms in California to serve with 3rd LAR. I got the opportunity to become a weapon inst. as a LCpl. for 9 months. I then got re-attach to 3rd LAR once again. After nine 11, a year later the nation was at war with Iraq. We got called to serve in Iraq for six moths. We were there through the whole attack. I then came back to 29 Palms and spend some quality time with my family in Albuquerque. On May 2004, I married my beautiful girl friend. A month after I got married, one of our platoons got attach to 1st LAR to serve with the 31st MEU in Okinawa, Japan. I also got the news that my wife was pregnant. Once in Okinawa, I became a Marine Scout SAW Gunner. In that deployment we were supposed to go to Tailand, Australia, Philipines, and a few more countries. A month after we got to Okinawa we received the news that we were going to get attach to the BLT 1/3 and serve another tour in Iraq. We ( LAR )then got tasked along with other units to be a part of Phantom Fury ( the re-taking over of Falluja ). in the city of Falluja from the 8th of Nov. to the begining of Dec. We then been attach to many units because of our capabilities and the type of vehicles we have. I have made many new friends on this deployment, served with some old friends also on this deploment, and sad to say have also lost some friends on this deployment.
To all that read this bio, remember that life is to short. We have learned that through the lifes of our own fallen Marine brothers. Do not take anything for granted. Live life to the fullest. Don't ever question your self " I should have, could have, might have, but didn't ". Every one falls once in a while. That is life. But sooner or later you have to pick your self up. So if you like some body but are to afraid to tell them, don't be. They might be waiting for you to tell them. If you don't tell a love one you love them, may be you should. Some times they want to hear it. You are not to old to tell your parents you love them. If you think you can't do something, you can. The only one that can stop you from doing something, is your self. Things to remember. Also, when you hear the National Anthem, be proud. There are many people that have lost there life in this war, and previous wars befor our time.
