Life
Is it really possible that's it's been 34 years since we graduated??? I didn't actually graduate from MHS because my family moved away the summer before our junior year, but since I had attended schools in the Milford Public School System from the 4th grade, I still consider myself part of the class of 1966, and although I am now living in beautiful, Boulder, Colorado, the Cincinnati area will always be "home". Some of the things I miss most about Milford are Frisch's, Skyline, the zoo, the Red's opening day festivities, Fountain Square and the trains at CG&E at Christmas, and of course, family. I have a wonderful 22 year old son who has been a constant source of pride for me. wded that some of us were annexed to the basement of a church, which, if memory serves me correctly was on Lila Avenue. Life has been good and I feel very blessed. Two years ago this month (July) I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a lumpectomy followed by extensive radiation therapy. Then, almost one year to the day later, cancer was discovered in the other breast. This time I had to have a mastectomy followed by chemotherapy. The GOOD news though, is that in both cases, there was no lymph node involvement, and my recent tests have turned out well. Early detection is definitely the key to recovery. Ladies, PLEASE schedule a mammogram for yourself if you have not already done so, and men, please encourage the ladies in your lives to do the same. I hope all of you are happy, healthy, and living your life's dream. It would be great to hear from any of you.
