Pam's Story
Life
Since High School, I continued to live and work with my folks on the ranch that my Dad managed off of Canada Road in Gilroy. I also lived in Southwest Idaho and worked for my Grandparents at their "Mom & Pop" grocery store/gas station in Boise.
From 1983 - 1988 I was working and training Thoroughbred race horses in Idaho and Nebraska. I learned a lot during those years. Mostly that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life at a race track. I returned to work at the ranch in Gilroy until 1992 when I met and married a Dairyman from Hollister named Rodney Sequeira. We lived on Pacheco Pass Hwy. until 1996 when we bought a farm in Caldwell, Idaho where we continued to milk cows until 2000. We retired from ...Expand for more
the dairy business and went into business with my Dad raising registered Black Angus cattle. In 2007 we sold our place in Idaho, and bought a bigger ranch in Southeast Oregon.
We don't have any kids unless you count 2 dogs, 7 cats, 4 horses and 150 cows. ;)
The cattle business is not an easy life, but we really enjoy it. Sometimes it's hard to get away for a little R&R, but we've been able to do a little traveling in the almost 29 years we've been married.
Hopefully, the best is yet to come.
In April 2017 we sold our ranch in Oregon, and have moved back to Caldwell, Idaho. We've downsized a bit, from 400 acres to 40 acres. :) We've still got a few head of cattle, but are looking to slow down just a little.
