Pam's Story

Life I now reside in Baja, Mexico and love it. I have been here full time for the last 14 or so years. I am about 35 miles South of Ensenada, so not too far from Costa Mesa... at Rancho La Bufadora (Blow Hole).I am divorced for many years. Started to build the house here with Gene Urschel in 1992. This was to be our retirement home. However, 8 1/2 yrs ago, he passed away from Cancer. Sure put a kink in our plans for the future. I was with him over 16 yrs. I still wanted to stay here as I enjoy it so much. So here I am. I have been with my current boyfriend for over 5 yrs. Just have learned to live life to the fullest each day. Life is very tranquil here during the wk and on week ends more action going on. I have one son, that is married and resides in Gilbert, AZ. with his lovely wife, and my two grand daughters. (first one) born in Feb 2005 and in Sept. 2006 I was blessed with another grand daughter.He is a Captain of the Gilbert Fire Dept. Life is good. being in Baja. I go to AZ every 3 months to visit my grand daughters and my son and his wife too. LOL When time and money permits, I travel in my motorhome. In 2007, I went to Guadalajara and Lake Chapala and visited Warren Ellison and his lovely wife for a few days. All in all went about 4,ooo miles. My 3rd time driving a motorhome. No problems.. lucky for me. When I go to Costa Mesa, a group of classmates from 5th & 6th grade get together for dinner. Karen Snyder, Lynda Bishop, Gordon Cooper, Jan Pellitier, sometimes Paul Shaver, and Lucille Ball (not the actress). We have a nice time. Our teacher, Mr. Wetzel and his wife join us. I am busy here just keeping everything in working order. Always something breaking. People that have visited over the years are Richard and Jessee Flores, June Urschel, Mac Morgan and family, Arlene Silva, Sandi Jessee, Gordon Cooper and his wife, Linda. Rita Crank and Patti Baume,Lynda Fulton, many others but you would not recognize the names. Always, Pam (wicks) Connor
