Pam's Story
Life
I've now been in Texas longer than I lived in Arkansas. I went to Dallas right after graduating from the U of A and then moved to San Antonio in 1993 when I remarried.
It's weird...all those years cheering against Texas and now I consider myself a Texan! Although I always cheer for the HOGS when they are playing Texas--much to the dismay of my friends and neighbors who all seemed to attend a Texas Southwest Conference School!
My husband Tim and I met through work when I came into town to interview his company to represent my company. Needless to say...I hired him! He has two older kids who are 30 and 32 and I can say that I helped raise them to a great degree over the past 15 years. I have one son Matt who is now 19 and a sophomore at Ole Miss.
After 20 years of working in sales and marketing for Procter & Gamble, Guiness and Coca-Cola North America and tons of travel, I "retired" to concentrate on Matt while he finished high school. I re...Expand for more
ally enjoyed my time with him though after all those years of business travel and my tennis game greatly improved, if only briefly. When he started college last fall,I went back to work for a consulting firm doing sales/marketing which is great and it gives me flexibility. Though I still travel a lot with it, I can pick and choose the work so I can be off in the summers when Matt comes home.
We love San Antonio and love showing visitors around...call me if you get near us! We love company and entertaining! I don't get back to Van Buren very often anymore--only a couple of times a year, because my Mom and sisters enjoy coming down here to visit.
But I travel a lot with my consulting job, so drop me a line and let me know where you are, because my next job could be in your hometown! I'd love to reconnect with classmates before our next reunion. Looking forward to hearing from you guys--can you believe it's been 30 years!! When did we all get so old??
