Pam's Story
Work:
I graduated early, had been working part-time at Penneys, so started working fulltime. I then worked for The State Of Illinois, State Employee's Retirement System on a contractual basis. Then I worked at The Illinois State Dept. Of Revenue. In Dec.974, I started working at Franklin Life Insurance Co. where I worked for 25 years until I lost my job due to downsizing. So as of April 2000, I have been retired.
Relationships:
I was in a 4-year relationship with a high school sweetheart. I then was in a relationship for 10 years which ended in March 1988. I then was in a 2 year relationship which ended in October 1994. I finally met Mr. Right and we married In September 1995. I had always wanted to get married someplace exciting, so we got married in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We built a home in Chatham, Illinois and we're still here.
Family:
Due to not getting married until age 41, I didn't have any children. My younger sister, Tina, adopted the most precious little boy who is very dear to my heart. He is now 16. She still lives in Springfield. My older sister, Becca, has lived In Portland, Oregon since 1990. My husband, Jeff, has a fairly large family and they are all wonderful people.
Interests:
My interests include quilting, although I've taken a break from it. I love music!
I always wanted to be a 2ND GRADE TEACHER when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a GOOD idea. As it turns out, they were DISAPPOINTED.

h the day-to-day.
My best friend from high school, Sue Hoyt. She's led an incredible life. I don't think there's anything she can't do. And she's very smart!
I am addicted to Reality TV! I never thought I'd have a pet but I have a Maltese. I love her to pieces!
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a 3-season room. My dream home would be new, have a basement, a 3-car garage and be in a community for 55-plus..
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to different charities, then spend the rest on a new home, a new car and a spa where I could go for several months for various reasons.
Decided college wasn't for me
My current age is 57. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be so old. I was so completely wrong.
My style hasn't changed.
I share my home with my husband and my dog, which I find nice.
The only trophy I ever got was in grade school for best on the trampoline
In 10 years, I hope to be thinner and in better health. I'm going to get there by not sure yet.
My oldest friend was Debbie Harper. We were best friends in grade school and then she moved to Pekin, Il. We stayed in touch even out of high school but then lost touch. We had so much fun together.
My first job was at Kentucky Fried Chicken, where I got paid $1.75 an hour to $1.75. What I remember most about it is having to wear a white dress and white oxfords like nurses and waitresses.
going on my first "big" vacation in 1966 or 1967. My family went to Tempe, Az, to visit my aunt and uncle. We saw and did so many cool things.
