Pamela Hoel:  

After graduating from The University of Minnesota Moorhead with a triple major- speech, English and theater, I got married and taught high school for a couple of years. I decided high school teaching was not God's plan for me(!!) so I entered Central Michigan University and earned a Masters Degree in interpersonal and public communication. I then entered Purdue University and earned my PhD in communication education. I also got divorced and took a tenure track position at Northwestern University (go Wildcats) and taught there for 25 years. While at Northwestern I also published so I didn't perish--wrote 17 books, published 25 articles and presented over 300 professional papers. Soon after I arrived at Northwestern, I met and married my terrific husband, Rick (an attorney, so glad I got that debate experience in high school!).
