Pamela's Story
LIFE PHASE #1
• Folksinger in the streets of S.F.
• Started playing gigs in clubs with my phony I.D.
• Joined a rock band.
• Married lead guitarist.
• Realized I married him because of his wonderful parents. Hey, I was young and not so bright.
• Divorced.
• Our band is now listed as an iconic San Francisco Psychedelic Rock Band.
LIFE PHASE #2
• Married again
• Tech Illustrator at Kaiser Aerospace
• Moved on to be a commercial artist—had some great clients like Coca-Cola of the Northwest, Dunkin Donuts, etc.
• Became advertising director for a chain of stores in the Northwest.
LIFE PHASE #3
• Moved to CA Central Coast and opened two restaurants with my “keeper-husband.” Klondike Pizza in Arroyo Grande, and in Santa Maria. Been in business since 1988.
SIDE CAREER
Writing. Among other things, I wrote a family comedy screenplay that Fox Studios liked, but just before I got the green light, the economy went south—2008. But I had a very interesting ...Expand for more
time in Hollywood and learned a lot. Took classes at LA Film school, UCLA, Homicide Writers School, etc. Got invited to red carpet premiers. Went to American Idol every year. Hell's Kitchen, etc. I will use the experiences in a future book!
NOW
Still in the restaurant business, but now I just take care of advertising and social media. I write full time and am working on the sixth book in my series: The Murder Blog Mysteries. My writer name is Pamela Frost Dennis.
FAVORITE CAREER
Raising two awesome sons with my husband, Mike.
These days, I’m having fun playing with four goofy grandkids.
And as a multiple stroke and heart attack survivor, every day is a gift.
Through the years we've lived in Nevada, Washington, Colorado, Alaska, Virginia, and California.
And I'm still best friends with Nina (Lewon) Alvan-Martinez (she went to Woodside) - since seventh grade at Goodwin / Kennedy Junior High.
When we're together, it's 7th grade all over again!
