Pamela's Story

So here's my story since 1965: I moved from Manteca to San Francisco right after high school graduation. Worked in the city for several years. Got involved in Robert Kennedy's Presidential Campaign in 1968. Worked for RFK's widow Ethel for a while and lived in Alexandria, VA, right down the street from Kay Skibinski Henry! Kay showed me the East Coast ropes when I first got there. Back to California and enrolled at U.C. Berkeley; Master's Degree in History. Have worked as a professional writer/editor since then. Got involved in the Clinton campaign in 1992; spent a year working at the White House in 1993. Moved from the SF Bay Area to Ashland, OR in 2000; Ashland is in ...Expand for more
Southern Oregon, just 13 miles north of the California border;currently the Communications Director for the Ashland Family YMCA. Plan to return to California when I retire in 2013. Have grown to like living in a small town and am thinking about Auburn in the Sierra Foothills as a place to resettle. Really, really looking forward to retirement!!! Writing a novel--historical fiction. No husband, no kids. My brother John (9 years younger than me), his wife and three kids (all grown) still live in Manteca. Bob Pierce is still my best friend in the world and we see each other often. I still love the Beatles. The day John Lennon was murdered was one of the worst days of my life.
