Pamela's Story
I moved to Mentor in the summer of '71 with my mom and sister. Dad was in the Air Force and serving a year in Viet Nam. In some ways the year zoomed by and in other ways it seemed to drag. Dad returned to the states and shortly after high school graduation we packed up the car and headed to Delaware!
Instead of going right to college I got married to an Air Force fella, had my first son in 1974 and second son in 1977. In 1979 we moved to Turkey - our 2.5 year tour seemed more like a holiday...Expand for more
vacation! Returned to the states in 1981 where I still insist that we were misdirected to Texas. After 3 years they figured it out and sent us to Alaska! For the past 27 years I've spent finishing my college education, getting a job that has turned into a career, watching my boys finish school and become adults, becoming single and now the best stage - being a grandmommie! My grandson is just the greatest thing to come into my life at this point! The next best thing will be retirement!!!!
