Pamela Delfranco:  

Life After high school, I attended Kean College, and also performed in a number of community musical theater productions in Westfield and Scotch Plains. At 19, I joined a top-forty band as their female vocalist. Another hobby was playing women's softball (slow-pitch, high-arc) really enjoyed turning double plays at second base, then, striking out my fair share of batters on the mound. It was great fun. Following a short-lived stint in Florida, I came back to Jersey with a fiance and got married at age 23. The next year, I became the proud mom of my beautiful daughter, Kimberly. During this time, I lost my dad to cancer. I have never quite managed to fully recover from this loss, for I totally idolized him. And I know that many of my dad's former students, soccer players and counselees from Roosevelt and Wilson Schools did, as well. Ten years after Kim, along came my terrific son, Daniel. At age 10, Danny (or D.J., as he prefers to be called) earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He went on to earn a second degree belt as well. DJ's real passion, however, is art, and he was inducted into the National Arts Honor Society in HS. He is currently pursuing a degree in game art at Full Sail University in Florida. I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities as an Activity Director, where I specialized in the field of Alzheimer's Disease.
