Pamela's Story
I do not recall my last story, so I'll go back to 2002 when I lived and worked (myself to death) in Chicago and was told that my father's health condition (diabetes and heart disease) would not get any better from that point. That's when I decided to return to NC to spend time with him for as long as I could. He passed away almost 1 year to the day of my return. I was at his hospital bedside when he took his last breath. It was as if he was waiting for me to get to the hospital, because the moment I sat on his bed and said, "Daddy, I'm right here.." he passed on. Deep, huh? Life altering, I'd say. g time in NC with my mother and making a life here. The challenge is finding an equally rewarding career here. NC is not a Marketing hub like the larger cities, so I have had to create opportunities. It's all good, though. I am happy to be closer to my sister Roslyn and my best sister-friend of 35 years, Charlene Kearney-Cash. I am the Godmother of her two children, and her hubby Thomas is my big brother. I have a bunch of nieces and nephews whom I love dearly and can finally spend time with beyond holidays. I still feel froggy and nomadic, so who knows where life will take me next. I'm spiritually led these days, so I will sit still for a while and listen for instructions (lol).
