Pamela's Story
Life
After 36 years of marriage, I moved out in 2002, got my own place, and was divorced in November 2003. I also retired from Western Michigan University in 2002. I'm currently enjoying life in my manufactured home with Peggy, the longtime family cat. .
I spend time reading, knitting for a project called afghans for Afghans <afghans4Afghans.org> (check it out), getting together with friends, and other such delightful retirement activities.

s for Afghans project is especially dear to me as I lived in Afghanistan for 3 years, teaching high school English during the late 1960s. I am saddened by the devastation of that country and want to do what I can to make life a little warmer for the people there. I have wonderful, warm memories of my life during those years.
Daughter Sarah is living in Ohio, and Liz is currently here with me. Of my birth family, my brother survives. I am happy in my life.
