Pamela's Story
Life
I have traveled much and lived in a variety of places since Rye, NY. I lived in Washington, DC during the Watergate era which was quite intriquing - lots of strange people on "The Hill"! I then moved to Memphis and lived there for 3 years while attending college and YES, I did meet Elvis!!! From there it was to Houston, Texas where I graduated from college and began my working career. 3 short years later - was layed off - which was a very humbling experience.
Got back on my feet and lived in the following states: Virginia (again), Delaware, North Carolina, Texas (again) and finally South Carolina.
I'm married with 2 "bonus" kids - nearly grown now.
My Dad always said - life begins at 40 and how right he was. Life really started to come together for me in my 40's and I'm now at a very peaceful, happy and content place in my life - and loving it!
I'm not done yet and am in the process of recreating myself for my second half of my life!
School

University of Memphis) in Memphis, TN for 3 years before transfering to the University of Houston.
Graduated with a BBA from the University of Houston (U of H)in Houston, Texas.
Attended some MBA classes at U of H but didn't graduate.
Workplace
I am currently employed by Coca-Cola Bottling in Charlotte, North Carolina in the capacity of Training Manager in the IS group. I have the opportunity to grow the Training function within IS that also includes organizational design, change management and communications.
My background outside of Coca-Cola has been predominantly in the Human Resources Function. I have worked in the generalist role in union and non-union facilities where my working world was quite varied and interesting most of the time.
I also worked as a consultant for the last 6 years prior to joining Coca-Cola. I traveled every week, met many people and made many friends. My consulting area was in systems training, project management and human capital projects drawing on my HR background.
