Pamela's Story
Life
I am now retired and currently living with my daughter in Washington, DC. I kinda did the retirement thing backwards. I moved north from sunny laid-back Florida to cold, urban DC. I do like it here, however, despite the weather. I may be overly patriotic or sentimental, but I never tire of seeing the Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln and Jefferson Monuments, etc. My daughtor's place is quite close to the area where they are located, and I see them almost daily, but I still get a certain feeling.
This is the first time in years that I do not have a dog. My last one died just before I moved here from Florida, and since my daughtor has a "No Pet" clause in her lease ... therwise annoy the neighbors.)
I've become extremely lazy and tend to spend my spare time curled up on the couch with a good book. This has to change, however, because the change in lifestyle from constant go, go, go has resulted in my weight going up, up, up.
I haven't kept in touch with any of my friends/classmates from CHS although I have frequently wondered "Whatever happened to?" I would like very much to hear from any of you.
UPDATE
I now live in Arlington, Virginia in a retirement community. Still have the cat. I have jumped right into a busy life with the move from my daughter's. I am active in my church and I am serving as the President of our Resident Association., and do a lot of volunteer work in the community. Still like to read, don't like to exercise, but do go walking once in a while.
