Pamela's Story
Life
I have become a country girl and live on 35 acres of land. At home, we have what we call our "lookin' animals." when we what to hunt, we go to Dan's (my wonderful significant other's) farm in Martin (Allendale County), SC where we have approx. 600 acres. That's where we have what we call our "huntin' animals." We have two other couples that hunt with us, we all stay in the original farm house where Dan grew up, and we have a LARGE TIME!
I have a 7 year old, very LARGE (120 lb.) German Shephard dog, who knows he is a person not an animal and expects to be treated appropriately. Dan keeps telling him he's a dog, but Jake just doesn't believe him.
I have 2 beautiful grandchildren, a 1-1/2 yr. old girl named Isabella, and a 4 yr, old boy named Nicholas.
I worked in the computer software and technology business for over 25 yrs. before realizing that I was in the wrong field. So, I returned to college and am working on receiving an elementary education, with a speci...Expand for more
alty in early childhood, teaching license. I start demonstration teaching (student teaching) on Monday, August 29, 2005 and will finish the week of Thanksgiving, after which I will apply for by license with the state. I'm excited to be woring with children as they bring such unique and fresh perspectives to the world.
I'm also close to completing a Masters of Art in Education and Technology (I need to complete my Thesis).
I am happier now than I have ever been as far as my life and the direction I am going.
My mother passed away in October, 2004 after suffering with breast cancer, which returned 10 yrs. to the day of when it first was found, and had reached her bones, liver, and other organs before they found it. I miss her, but I am lucky to have shared the last several months of her life. I moved back in with my mother and father to help out and became even closer with them than I was already. I wouldn't trade that time for anything on this earth.
