Pamela's Story
Ahhh.. the torturous memories of high school... thank God that stuff is over!! :-) Actually, I'm a big fan of life moving onwards and upwards, and my life has exemplified this belief. I consider myself a living testament to self-growth and actualization, in fact I try to live for this everyday. No, life is not perfect but it often is what we make of it as time goes on.
Since high school I found myself living a few different stories, overall, I've found strength, hope and determination to make my life full of change and inspiration. Participating in making the world a better place has been important to me, as well as, helping others heal from their own personal traumas. Currently I work as a group counselor and licensed recreation therapist for a dual-diagnosis hospital ward (interpretation: substance abuse with psychiatric diagnosis'). My speciality is teaching ...Expand for more
anger / stress management and self-esteem building.
Growing through spiritual practice has been a huge component of my own journey. I have been a student of A Course In Miracles since leaving high school and have a sideline career as a lecturer and teacher of its principles. I have a weekly online radio gig and conduct live lectures for this audience. Additionally I'm the executive director of a business leading self-help / motivational and personal awareness workshops / conferences. This experience also led me to publishing a book in 2008 called Simply Being: One Year with Spirit.
Outside of all of that stuff, I love to spend time in nature, write, paint, photograph, be with my friends and pets (dog / two cats). Currently I'm livin' single. Feel free to contact me, as I'd love to touch base with each and everyone of you. You can find me mostly on Facebook.
